Who we are

TypeIt is operated by Site Transition LLC, the data controller for the information described here. Where “we” or “us” appears below, it means Site Transition LLC.

What we collect

When you create an account we receive your email address, name, and profile picture from Google. We store your email and name; the picture is only displayed.

Each time the extension types, we record:

• the number of characters typed
• how many simulated errors were made and corrected
• how long the session took, and the average speed

If you buy a license, Stripe processes the payment and we store the resulting customer identifier and purchase date. We never see or store your card details.

What we do not collect

We do not receive the text you type. The extension generates keystrokes entirely on your own machine and sends us counts and timings only. No part of your documents - not a preview, not a fragment - reaches our servers, and we have no access to your Google Docs.

We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. The only cookie set is the one that keeps you signed in.

Why we collect it

Usage counts enforce the free trial limit and populate your dashboard history. Your email identifies your account and lets us contact you about releases or a problem with your purchase.

Who else sees it

Three processors, each for one job:

• Supabase - hosts the database and handles sign-in
• Stripe - processes payments
• Google - authenticates you, if you sign in with Google

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Account and session records are kept while your account exists. Ask us to delete your account and we remove them, except records we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask for corrections, or ask for deletion. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing or to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will email account holders. The date above always reflects the current version.
