These terms are an agreement between you and Site Transition LLC, a California limited liability company, which publishes TypeIt. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Site Transition LLC.
By creating an account or using the TypeIt extension you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.
TypeIt is a Chrome extension that types text into Google Docs at a simulated human pace. A license is a one-time purchase granting you unlimited use on your own machines, indefinitely. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
The free trial allows a fixed number of characters, once. It is not restored monthly.
Your license is personal. You may install the extension on machines you use. You may not resell it, redistribute the software, or share your API key. We may revoke a key that is being shared.
You are responsible for how you use TypeIt and for complying with the rules that apply to you - including your school’s academic integrity policy, your employer’s policies, and Google’s terms of service.
Do not use TypeIt where doing so would breach those rules, or to misrepresent authorship where a person or institution is relying on that representation. We provide a tool; how it is used is your responsibility, and using it in breach of these terms ends your license without refund.
TypeIt is distributed as a download from this site, not through the Chrome Web Store. Installing it requires enabling Chrome’s developer mode. Some managed devices disable this, and we cannot work around that.
Because it is not installed from the Chrome Web Store, TypeIt does not update itself. New versions are published to your dashboard and you install them manually. We do not promise any particular release frequency.
Payments are processed by Stripe on behalf of Site Transition LLC. Charges and refunds are issued by Site Transition LLC, and that is the name that may appear on your card statement.
If TypeIt does not work for you, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. Refunding revokes your API key and ends your license.
The free trial exists so you can confirm it works before paying. We recommend using it.
TypeIt depends on Google Docs and on Chrome, and either may change in a way that breaks it. We will make reasonable efforts to fix such breakage but cannot guarantee continued compatibility.
The software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. We make no claim that its output is indistinguishable from human typing or that it cannot be detected, and we have not tested it against any detection method.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to TypeIt is limited to what you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including any consequences of how you chose to use the software.
Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot legally be limited.
You may stop using TypeIt at any time. We may terminate a license for breach of these terms, including sharing or reselling. On termination your API key stops working.
TypeIt is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google. Google Docs, Google Drive, and Chrome are trademarks of Google LLC, and are named here only to describe what TypeIt works with.
Using TypeIt with any third-party service remains subject to that service’s own terms, which are between you and them.
These terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes protections you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to account holders. Continuing to use TypeIt after that means accepting the revised terms.
